The ingredients needed to make Falafel:

  1. Prepare 1 cup chickpeas
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup flaxseed oil for frying
  3. Make ready 3 cloves garlic
  4. Make ready 1/2 onion
  5. Get 2 fresh chili peppers
  6. Make ready 1/2 cup dried mint leaves
  7. Take 5 sprigs parsley

Instructions to make Falafel:

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight, wash and rinse off the water.
  2. Pulse the chickpeas, garlic, mint leaves, parsley, chopped onion, diced chili peppers and the water into a food processor and blend to a purée. Transfer purée to a bowl and add salt to taste.
  3. On a heated small pot or pan, add the oil and allow to heat for about 2 minutes. Add several small scoops of the purée in the pan and fry for 3 minutes on each sides. Remove and place on a paper towel. Serve with hummus or hot pepper sauce.
