To bewith this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have coconut rice using 6 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Coconut Rice:

  1. Prepare 1 cup Jasmine rice
  2. Take 1/8 tsp salt
  3. Prepare 1 Tbsp raw sugar (one with molasses )
  4. Make ready 1 tblsp butter
  5. Prepare 1 can unsweetened coconut milk
  6. Get Water as needed

Instructions to make Coconut Rice:

  1. Shake the can of coconut milk, and pour it into a measuring cup. Fill the rest of the cup with water until it reaches 2 cups of liquid. * the coconut milk has thick stuff in it, I’m not sure what it is. It tastes good, I use it. 😎
  2. Pour the liquid into the pan. Add butter, salt and sugar. Bring it to a boil. Note: you could sub raw sugar for light brown sugar or plain sugar with a drip of molasses.
  3. When it boils, add the 1 cup of rice and stir it while it boils for 1 minute.
  4. After 1 minute, cover, and turn heat to low, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. See that lid…. DON’T TOUCH IT!!!!! 😠 Not for 15 minutes anyway πŸ˜‹
  6. When the time is up, fluff rice with a fork or stir it, whatever πŸ˜†. That’s all folks!
