  8. Take 1 tablespoon harissa paste or any hot sauce 1 teaspoon lemon zest. I have used Tapatio

Instructions to make Halloumi fries:

  1. Cut the halloumi cheese in long strips. In a plate add za’tar and flour and mix well. Roll the cheese strips in the mixture ensuring its coated evenly.
  2. Heat the oil on medium heat. Carefully slide the halloumi in the oil and deep fry until golden and crispy. Drain excess oil on kitchen paper. - Sprinkle za’tar and chopped mint leaves. - Golden crispy halloumi fries are ready to serve with yogurt dip.
  3. Yogurt dip:- - - Mix the yogurt with the lemon zest. Add fresh chopped coriander. Swirl through the harissa so that you have pockets of hot and cool in the dip.
