The ingredients needed to make Calzone:

  1. Make ready 3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  2. Make ready 1 envelope active dry yeast
  3. Make ready 1 tsp salt
  4. Prepare 1 cup hot water

  6. Take 2 eggs
  7. Get 1 marinara sauce
  8. Take 2 cup grated cheese (Colby works best)
  9. Take 1 packages pepperoni, Canadian , hamburger, or meat of your choice
  10. Make ready 1 onion, peppers, olives, pineapple, or filling of your choice
  11. Get 1 egg, whisked and set aside

Instructions to make Calzone:

  1. For the dough: Mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Mix in oil, egg, and hot water. Stir until sticky but firm and pulling away from the sides of the bowl. Let set 5 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into 4 pieces.
  4. Roll each piece of dough into circles approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Add marinara, leaving 1/2-1 inch free of any sauce or filling at the edge of the dough
  6. Top with ingredients of choice (pictured is pepperoni). Top this with 1/2 cup of cheese.
  7. Fold dough in half over the top of the ingredients so that bit looks like a half circle. Roll the edge together to seal.
  8. Place on baking sheet and brush tops with egg wash
  9. Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes. Allow to cool before eating
