  1. Grind ger, garlic green chili in a mixer.
  2. Heat a pressure cooker. Add oil, sliced onion. Add salt and saute it till the onion colour changes.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes. Add shredded cabbage and rice after the tomatoes become mushy.
  4. Add 1 cup milk or coconut milk and another cup of water or 2 cups of milk or coconut milk. It’s up to you.
  5. Cover the lid. Pressure cook it. Atlast add a tbsp of ghee and a tsp of garam masala and mix it well. Cabbage rice is ready to serve.
  6. You can also add whole garam masala instead of garam masala powder.
