- Take 250 gm kathal diced
- Get 4-5 tbsp mustard oil
- Prepare 2 tbsp mustard oil for frying

- Get 2-3 tbsp onion paste
- Take 1/2 tsp haldi/Turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder

Steps to make Kathal ki Sabzi:
- Take a wok or pan, add oil, heat it. Fry kathal pcs at high flame till light brown. Keep aside.
- Take a pressure cooker, add oil, heat it.
- Add ger garlic paste, add lil water also, sauté it for a while.
- Add onion paste, again add lil water, stir fry it for a while.
- Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it until brown.
- Now add haldi, dhania red chilli powder, add lil water, give a stir.
- Cook it at low flame till oil separates.
- Add garam masala powder salt, give a stir.
- Add kathal pcs, stir it nicely at high flame.
- Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it until oil separates.
- Remove the lid now, increase the flame, give a stir again.
- Now add boiled water accordingly so as to keep a lil thin gravy (not runny).
- Place the lid now, give 3-4 whistles. Lower the flame now, cook it for 15-20 minutes.
- Switch off the flame now, open the lid after 5 minutes of cooling.
- Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
- Have it with Roti or Paratha.
