  1. Get 2 lb Lean Hamburger
  2. Get 1 package Carroll Shelby’s Chili Seasoning (or another brand)

  5. Prepare 1 clove Fresh garlic
  6. Take 1 can 15 oz. stewed tomatoes
  7. Take 1 can 15 oz. tomato sauce
  8. Make ready 4 can 15 oz (each) pinto beans

Instructions to make Cheater CHILI:

  1. Brown hamburger in a 6 qt. pan.
  2. Dice and add onions while hamburger is browning.
  3. Add cans of tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes followed by 2 cans of water.
  4. Then add the seasoning packets of salt, chili powder, and cayenne, but reserve the packet of masa for later.
  5. Open, drain, and add all 4 cans of pinto beans last and stir.
  6. Add the 1/2 teaspoon of cumin now.
  7. Transfer chili to crockpot to simmer for 2 and 1/2 hours. At the end of that time, if chili is not thick enough for your taste, add masa and stir. I do not use the masa. I prefer a thinner chili. Garnish with grated cheese or fritos or serve with cornbread.
