The ingredients needed to make Ma Po Tofu:

  1. Take 1 pack Soft tofu
  2. Get Minced
  3. Get Chilli bean paste
  4. Get 1 tbsp soy sauce
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp Shaoxing

  7. Get Minced ger
  8. Get 1 tsp peppercorn
  9. Make ready 1 tsp sugar

Instructions to make Ma Po Tofu:

  1. Marinate minced with soy sauce and Shaoxing .
  2. Cut tofu into small cubes.
  3. Stir fry minced garlic and ger till aromatic. Add in minced and stir fry till cooked and aromatic. Add in tofu cubes.
  4. Add in chilli bean paste and some water. Medium heat cook for 5 minutes for the seasonings to absorb into the tofu. Slowly stir the tofu.
  5. Add some salt and sugar to adjust taste. Add in peppercorn. Finally add in cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Garnish with spring onions on top and serve.
