  3. Get 12 oz Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  5. Get 12 oz Shredded Parmesan cheese
  6. Get 1/3 cup Unsalted butter
  7. Prepare 5 cup Chicken broth
  8. Prepare 2 can 12 oz. cans of evaporated milk
  9. Make ready 6 tbsp All purpose flour
  10. Take 1 Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

  1. Dice onion and slice butter into chunks.
  2. Combine onion and butter in large skillet and cook until onion is soft.
  3. Add flour to onion and butter and combine. (This will look thick and bready but don’t worry!)
  4. Slowly stir in both cans of evaporated milk. Stir together in a whisking motion, constantly stirring over medium heat.
  5. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  6. When thoroughly stirred, pour into crock pot.
  7. Add chicken broth and broccoli to crock pot.
  8. Cook on high 2 hours stirring occasionally.
  9. NOTE: this requires a big sized crock pot. If you have a small one like mine, you’ll have to transfer to a pot on the stove. Either way is perfect.
  10. After two hours, add heavy cream and both cheeses.
  11. Once cheese is melted and cream is stirred in, it’s ready to eat!
