  1. Prepare 2 cups Basmati rice Kaima/
  2. Get 4 cups water Boiling
  3. Get 2 numbers Cinnamon pieces
  4. Make ready 6 numbers Cardamom
  5. Prepare 6 numbers Clove
  6. Get 1 number Bay leaf
  7. Make ready 2 tablespoons Ghee
  8. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon Lime juice
  9. Make ready to taste Salt

  11. Make ready 3/4 cup Onion, sliced
  12. Take 1/4 cup Cashew nuts
  13. Make ready 2 tablespoons Ghee
  14. Prepare Oil - for deep frying

Steps to make Ghee Rice:

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf and rice. Stir for 5 minutes.
  3. Add boiling water, salt and lime juice. Cover and cook on low flame till the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked. Seperate the cooked rice with a fork.
  4. Garnish with fried onion and roasted cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or non veg curry of your choice.
